At a time when most carriers didn’t handle both voice and data well, Nextel launched its Wireless Business Solutions initiative to leverage their strength across that spectrum with large enterprises.
With a need to clearly differentiate from consumer offerings, we found the perfect spokespeople in the portraits of former CEO’s hanging on the walls to ponder the considerable advantages of real-time, mobile access to critical business data. And while most expressed a mix of approval and envy - “Imagine what we’d have done with that kind of network access…” - one was left to ask, “What’s a network?”
