Neighborhood Health Plan had a strong reputation as a Medicaid plan provider - a reputation that was holding them back from much needed growth in the broader commercial market. A complete transformation was required.

The new brand would need a compelling reason for being in a market dominated by well-established players with all the right shields and crosses, big medical institution names, and serious looking docs in white coats. But dissatisfaction with the usual choices opened the door for an alternative. And that’s what we created.

A health plan that put its members first. That looks approachable and sounds like a human being. Offers sensible benefits and talks about them in relatable ways.

A plan that lets you track claims on your phone as easily as you might a pizza delivery. And even helps take care of your health in surprising ways, like encouraging exercise by attaching tetherballs to streetlamp poles, giving away custom made Valentine’s Day cards to ease last-minute shopping stress, and lets you use your fitness reimbursement for other things that could keep you healthy – like pet adoption.
